Jagan Shah is the Director of National Institute of Urban Affairs, the premier think-tank associated with the Ministry of Urban Development, Government of India.
He has 20 years of professional work experience in various aspects of urban development in India which included heading academic institutions
and leading consultancies in policy formulation, spatial planning, heritage conservation, transportation and livelihoods development.
He has also been a founding member of the Modern Asian Architecture Network
and has authored Contemporary Indian Architecture (Roli, 2008) and co-authored Building Beyond Borders (NBT, 1995) with Satish Grover.

Madhurima Waghmare is the team leader for the World Bank-Cities Alliance Technical Assistance
for Inclusive Revitalisation of Historic Cities in India at National Institute of Urban Affairs, New Delhi.
She is an architect, urban designer, and development planner from the university college London with
over 16 years of extensive experience in the field. She has worked with the public and private sector as well as academic organisations.
Here field experience is wide ranging, including projects funded by multilateral agencies, government and top-notch private sector.

Mayura Gadkari is a Conservation Architect and a part of the National Program Management Unit of the World Bank-Cities
Alliance Technical Assistance for Inclusive Revitalisation of Historic Cities in India at National Institute of Urban Affairs, New Delhi.
She has close to 8 years of experience in the field of Urban Conservation post her studies at the CEPT University-Ahmedabad,
where she has worked on projects integrating heritage assets and their management with Urban Development.
Prior to NIUA, Mayura has worked with national and international non-profits,
para-government organisations and on multi-laterally funded projects across India.

he has developed his specialism within India in a range of ambitious projects involving participatory planning.

She has a Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture and a Master’s Degree in Housing and Urbanism from the
Architectural Association School of Architecture, London. Uditi has 5 years of experience in development planning,
urban renewal and design, and urban management on nationally and multilaterally funded projects with various governments
and NGOs across India.Her research on culture led development and revitalization of historic cities has been published in numerous international
journals, reports and books.
