This episode of the Parvat Manthan Podcast brings two grassroots leaders from SEWA Bharat- Uttarakhand, working towards youth mobilisation and skill enhancement and preserving the traditional water harvesting strategy of 'Naulas'. Navniti youth leader Kalpana ben shares her experiences from engaging and mobilising the youth to address water and waste challenges in her village in Almora, Uttarakhand. She talks of the challenges they faced and how they eventually became the drivers of social change in their village. Ganesh bhai takes us through his work done over the years on Naula rejuvenation, deep-diving into the traditional legacy of the Naulas in Uttarakhand and how the lost art of naula construction is in need of being revived now more than ever. He also talks about how engaging the youth in social & cultural initiatives can foster a sense of responsibility and pave the way for a sustainable future.
