Compendium on Untold Stories from the Himalaya

Under the aegis of Parvat Manthan, the National Institute of Urban Affairs (NIUA) in collaboration with the International Council for Integrated Mountain Development (ICIMOD) and supported by Integrated Mountain Initiative (IMI) and Bremen Overseas Research and Development Association- South Asia (BORDA-SA), has launched a "call for entries" for an exclusive, first of its kind, regional level WASH compendium titled as 'Untold stories from the Himalaya’. The compendium aims to document best practices, solutions (approach, technological, business model), and community based actions that celebrate initiatives undertaken within community structures and institutions in the Hill cities and towns that have the potential to be adopted at scale.

The themes for the compendium are as follows- Water and Waste (Used water and solid waste Management), along with its associated challenges and solutions in the Indian Himalayan Region (IHR), Nepal, and Bhutan. The entries are targeted from development organisations, independent professionals, private sector experts, think-tanks, community based organisations etc.
